The Mara, the quick-service restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, offers a lunch and dinner menu that goes beyond the resort-standard burger-and-fries lineup with several rice bowls, a falafel platter and desserts including Zebra Domes.
Located at Jambo House near the Uzima Springs Pool, The Mara is the resort’s only quick-service restaurant aside from its bars and lounges. Guests order at a station, pay at a separate register and can dine in or take meals to go. The lunch and dinner menus are the same.
Among the bowl options, the $15.79 Combination Bowl pairs chermoula-spiced shrimp and oak-grilled chicken with pilau rice, kale slaw, cucumber-tomato salad and chermoula sour cream. The Oak-Grilled Chicken Bowl is $13.29, while a Chermoula-spiced Shrimp Bowl costs $14.79. Other choices include the $13.79 Harissa-spiced Beef Bowl and the $13.29 South African Vegetable Bowl.
Plant-based diners can order the $12.29 Marrakesh Falafel Platter, served with tabbouleh, cucumber-tomato salad, hummus, avocado-tahini sauce and pita. The menu also includes burgers, chicken strips, flatbreads, sandwiches and salads.
