Whether you're in the mood for belting out show tunes or sampling your way through a waterfront food festival, Tampa Bay has plenty going on this weekend of August 22–24, 2026.

Kick things off Friday evening in Sarasota, where the historic Sarasota Opera House screens the 1952 circus classic The Greatest Show on Earth at 7 p.m. β€” tickets are just $12. Over in Safety Harbor, the monthly 3rd Friday Street Celebration brings local entertainment and small-town charm to Main Street from 6 to 10 p.m.

Saturday offers something for every interest. Families can head to Bonnet Springs Park in Lakeland for STEM in the Park: Extreme Weather, a hands-on morning (10 a.m.–noon) of storm and wind science at the Givewell Community Foundation Nature Center. That same evening, the Imagine Museum in St. Pete hosts Threads of Vision Fashion Night at 6 p.m., featuring designer Maya Mouis on the runway, glass art exhibitions, and included museum admission for $60.

Running all three days β€” Friday through Sunday β€” the Mega Night Market Asian Food & Music Festival fills Clearwater's Coachman Park (300 Cleveland St.) with cuisine, craft artists, glowing water lanterns, and live music, all free to attend. Cap the weekend Sunday evening at Sparkman Wharf in Tampa, where Tampa Theatre's Summer Sing-Along screens Wicked from 6:30 to 9 p.m. No tickets required, though seating is limited β€” and the first 100 guests score a free LED fan and a bag of popcorn.
