Tampa Bay music fans have a packed weekend ahead, with five distinct live performances spanning genres from jazz to metalcore spread across Tampa, Dunedin, and Sarasota.
Friday kicks off at New World Brewery in Tampa, where the Dan Calkins Trio plays reimagined jazz standards and pop favorites in the garden from 8–11 p.m. for $10. Also on Friday, platinum-selling independent rapper Qveen Herby — known for blending pop and rap — takes the stage at The Ritz in Ybor City at 6:30 p.m., with special guest Beautiful Chorus; general admission runs $55.
Saturday brings two more options: metalcore band The Word Alive performs at The Orpheum in Tampa at 6 p.m., with tickets at $32; and Tampa-based progressive psychedelic outfit Displace plays Dunedin Brewery from 8–11 p.m. at no charge.
