Royal Caribbean is testing room service ordering through its cruise-line app aboard Star of the Seas, according to Royal Caribbean Blog.
The test would allow guests to place room service orders digitally rather than calling by phone. The outlet compared the potential ordering process to an Uber Eats-style approach, though Royal Caribbean had not announced whether or when the feature could expand to other ships.
Star of the Seas is currently the ship where guests have reported seeing the feature activated. For now, the app-based ordering remains a test rather than a fleetwide change.
