St. Johns County kicked off its new Young Professionals Program with a strong debut, drawing more than 60 attendees to an inaugural event in Nocatee. The gathering brought together emerging leaders from across the county for an evening of networking and community-building, with participants sharing a common interest in deepening their ties to the local area.
The program is designed to go beyond typical networking mixers, with an emphasis on talent attraction and retention, leadership development, and creating pathways for young professionals to build careers — and lives — in St. Johns County long term. The initiative is tied directly to the county's strategic plan priority of economic prosperity.
The next event in the series, called "Emerging Leaders Toolkit," will feature a panel of local professionals sharing practical career advice and resources. It's scheduled for 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 18, at the St. Augustine Airport, located at 4730 Casa Cola Way, Suite 200. Registration is $10.
