St. Augustine residents and visitors could see nuisance flooding in low-lying areas from Sunday through Tuesday as higher-than-normal tides move through the city.
City officials said the seasonal flooding is not unusual and typically occurs during the fall. The issue may leave standing water on some streets and around vulnerable areas near the water.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid standing water when possible. Those who must travel through flooded spots should slow down and avoid creating a wake, which can send water toward nearby properties and add to hazardous conditions.
