A pair of cherished St. Augustine traditions is coming to a close. Organizers have announced that the St. Augustine Celtic Music and Heritage Festival and the city's St. Patrick's Day parade will not return, ending a 15-year run that brought Celtic culture and community celebration to the Ancient City.
The decision comes down to finances. Organizers cited rising costs as the driving factor behind the difficult choice to discontinue both events, which had become fixtures on the Northeast Florida calendar each year.
