Guests strolling along Commissary Lane at Disney's Hollywood Studios will notice something missing: the cheerful pink, purple, and orange Disney Jr. mural that once marked the meet-and-greet spot for Sofia from Sofia the First and Bitsy from SuperKitties is gone. As of September 18, the wall has been painted over in a plain blue, and the area sits empty.
The change happened quickly. Earlier this year in May, Sofia and Bitsy had been rotating throughout the day at this location, giving young fans a chance to meet both characters during a single visit. The spot sits near ABC Commissary and adjacent to Red Carpet Dreams, another character greeting experience on the same lane.
Close inspection of the freshly painted wall still reveals faint bubble outlines from the original mural beneath the new coat of paint, along with small indentations where signage once hung — the only remaining hints of what used to greet families there.
