Guests staying at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa this fall will need to scratch tennis from their itinerary for a while. Both of the resort's clay tennis courts closed in late August for resurfacing work, and Disney says the project is expected to run through November 2026 — a stretch of several months rather than the quick turnaround guests might hope for.
The good news is that the courts aren't going away permanently. Disney's plan is straightforward: resurface the clay, then reopen. But because no specific completion date has been announced, guests arriving anytime in September, October, or November should assume the courts will still be unavailable. Anyone traveling later in November might get lucky if work wraps up early, but Disney hasn't given a firm date to count on.
For most Saratoga Springs guests, the closure likely won't reshape a vacation — plenty of other amenities, pools, dining spots, and walking paths remain available across the large resort. Still, for guests who specifically planned to play tennis during their stay, the disruption is real and worth knowing about before arrival.
Periodic refurbishments are nothing new at Saratoga Springs. The resort's Paddock Pool, play area, and grill were also scheduled for fall 2025 maintenance, and various pool areas have seen similar work in past years. The tennis court project fits that ongoing pattern of upkeep at one of Walt Disney World's largest resort properties.
