Under the promotion, members earn 2 points per night in a standard cabin, 4 points per night when cruising solo or staying in a suite, and 6 points per night when cruising solo in a suite — double the standard rates. Crown & Anchor has six tiers, from Gold (3 points) up to Pinnacle Club (700 points), with perks like complimentary drinks, internet access, and priority services kicking in at higher levels.
The most powerful strategy is booking a suite as a solo traveler. A 7-night solo suite sailing would yield 42 points under the promotion — compared with just 7 points for a shared standard cabin on the same trip. That kind of jump could push a Platinum member with 38 points all the way to Diamond status in a single voyage.
Families have options too. Booking the household member with the most accumulated points into a cabin alone unlocks the solo bonus, and Royal Caribbean allows linked spouses and verified children under 18 at the same address to share equivalent tier status — meaning one person's upgrade can benefit the whole family. For those who find solo suites or double cabins too costly, tacking on a short 3- or 4-night weekend cruise as a second booking is a lower-cost way to pocket a useful points boost.
