Fans of Pizzafari at Disney's Animal Kingdom have a new reason to stop by the colorful quick-service spot. Starting September 6, 2026, the restaurant is adding Baked Chicken Tenders to its menu — a departure from the flatbread pizzas, salads, and desserts it's long been known for.

The new dish is served with potato chips and a side of cheese, keeping things simple and satisfying. Disney Eats announced the addition on social media with a lighthearted nod to chicken tenders being a beloved Disney dining staple. Official pricing had not been released at the time of the announcement.

For families dining together, the addition offers more flexibility — particularly for younger guests who gravitate toward familiar comfort food. Baked rather than fried also gives the dish a slightly different profile than the typical park chicken tender offering.

Pizzafari sits on Discovery Island inside Animal Kingdom and is one of the more visually striking dining spots in any Disney park, thanks to the floor-to-ceiling animal-themed murals that cover its walls. It's a popular stop for guests looking for a quick, casual meal without leaving the heart of the park.

If the tenders prove popular, it wouldn't be surprising to see them expand to other Walt Disney World locations. This story was originally reported by The Main Street Mouse.
