The Professional Association of Visual Artists (PAVA) is bringing nearly 70 of Florida's finest artists and makers to the St. Petersburg Coliseum for the 37th Annual Cool Art Show on Saturday, July 18 (10 a.m.–5 p.m.) and Sunday, July 19 (10 a.m.–4 p.m.). Admission and parking are both free, making it one of the more wallet-friendly cultural outings in the Tampa Bay area this summer.
The juried showcase spans a wide range of mediums — paintings, photography, ceramics, glass, metal, wood, fiber, jewelry, and mixed media — and includes artists whose work has earned national recognition and placement in galleries and museums across the country. Shoppers can browse and purchase original pieces directly from the creators throughout the weekend.
Live artist demonstrations are scheduled across both days, giving visitors an up-close look at how the work actually gets made — a rare opportunity to watch skilled craftspeople in action and ask questions firsthand. Food, beer, and wine will be available for purchase inside the venue at 535 4th Avenue North.
PAVA is a nonprofit organization of working artists that goes beyond organizing exhibitions — the group also funds grants, runs education programs, and supports student artists through scholarships connected to the Pinellas County Education Foundation Art Awards. The Cool Art Show is among its signature annual events.
