Several restaurant spaces around Orlando have new tenants, including the former Pizza Bruno location at Maitland Social and the former Grilled Cheezus space on North Mills Avenue.
DiVino by Grappolo has opened at Maitland Social in the spot recently vacated by Pizza Bruno. The concept comes from the owners of Grappolo Cucina Italiana in Winter Park and serves wood-fired Neapolitan pizza alongside menu items associated with Grappolo, including bruschetta, antipasto boards, arancini, polpette al ragù, tiramisu, cannoli and pastiera Napoletana.
At 912 N. Mills Ave., Koa Sushi has opened in the former Grilled Cheezus space. Its menu blends Japanese and Venezuelan flavors through sushi rolls, poke, spam musubis, onigiri and arepas.
Other recent openings include Mae Tao & Son’s Kitchen in the former Izziban Katsu space at Lotte Plaza Market’s food court, 3191 W. Colonial Drive. The former mobile operation serves Khmer and Lao fusion cuisine. Haldi Restaurant has also opened inside the Holiday Inn/Candlewood Suites at 626 Lee Road near Interstate 4, serving Indian fare.
Downtown Orlando’s former Swiggs space at 50 E. Central Blvd. is now home to Reeves Sports Bar, which has soft-opened with craft cocktails and elevated takes on pub food, according to Orlando Weekly.
Near Orlando International Airport, Nếp Sài Gòn BBQ & Hot Pot is expected to open later this month at 6817 Eagle Watch Drive, in a former Moe’s Southwest Grill. Orlando Weekly reports the restaurant will offer Vietnamese barbecue, roast specialties, hot pot and Vietnamese street-food staples.
