Royal Caribbean is converting a space outside Studio B on Oasis of the Seas into a dedicated non-smoking casino, adding to a growing wave of smoke-free gaming areas across the cruise line's fleet. The new venue is expected to open around November 9, 2026 — right as the ship begins offering shorter sailings out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
To make room for the expansion, a few existing spaces are being reshuffled or retired. The Crown Lounge is relocating to Deck 15, while Blaze, the ship's late-night nightclub and lounge, will permanently close on September 6, 2026. Guests sailing between September 10 and October 11 should also be aware that the Teen Lounge on Deck 15 will be temporarily unavailable during construction.
Oasis of the Seas will join several other Royal Caribbean ships that have already undergone similar transformations, including Harmony of the Seas, Utopia of the Seas, Symphony of the Seas, and Allure of the Seas. The cruise line has also been retrofitting older vessels — Radiance of the Seas, Liberty of the Seas, Ovation of the Seas, and Freedom of the Seas — with expanded non-smoking casino spaces, sometimes at the cost of beloved lounges and bars. On Radiance, for instance, the Quill & Compass Pub was replaced by a smoke-free casino following a dry dock in February 2026.
Currently, the only non-smoking gaming option on Oasis of the Seas is a smaller space carved out of the former Jazz on 4 area. The new casino will give passengers a second, larger option. Royal Caribbean does still permit smoking in the main Casino Royale, but only while actively playing — and violations in off-limits areas, including private balconies, can result in a fine of up to $250.
