Work on Disney's Hollywood Studios' upcoming Monstropolis land is moving along visibly, with crews recently putting fresh paint on the clock tower of the old MuppetVision 3D theater. The tower's brickwork — which had been stripped and redone earlier this year — was initially left in a plain gray finish, but has since been painted a warm reddish-brown that fits the Monsters, Inc. aesthetic.

A handful of crew members were spotted on the tower adding finishing touches, and the wall to the right of the clock featured several distinct paint treatments, suggesting teams may have been testing color and texture options before committing to a final look for the full structure.

The theater is set to be renamed The Glob and will house a new Monsters, Inc.-themed experience. Beyond the name and general concept, details about what guests can expect inside have not yet been released. An announcement is anticipated at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.
