Tampa is getting its first-ever Monster Jam Freestyle Mania event this summer, and it's bringing a format fans haven't seen before. Rather than the traditional solo-truck competition, this new setup pairs Monster Jam trucks with freestyle motocross bikes in an eight-team battle for the Freestyle Mania championship title.
Four shows run Friday through Sunday, August 14–16, at Benchmark International Arena. Fans will see familiar trucks like Grave Digger, El Toro Loco — which is marking its 25th anniversary in 2026 — and Sparkle Smash, while FMX bikes designed to mirror each truck's iconic look take on their own separate competitions in Best Whip and Best Trick. Monster Jam trucks compete in Racing, 2-Wheel Skills, and Freestyle events, giving the crowd plenty of action across all three nights.
One storyline to watch: siblings Brandan and Mikayla Tulachka will be competing on opposing teams, adding a dash of family rivalry to the championship chase. Weston Anderson pilots the legendary Grave Digger in the Tampa lineup.
Fans attending Saturday or Sunday shows can also stop by the Monster Jam Pit Party before the main event for autographs, selfies with the trucks and bikes, and a close-up look at how those 12,000-pound machines are built. It's a solid warm-up to an already full day of motorsports.
