If you're heading to EPCOT's World Showcase soon, you'll want to update your mental map of the Mexico Pavilion. Mariachi Cobre, the ensemble that has brought traditional folk music to the pavilion since 1982, has moved from its longtime outdoor spot near La Cantina de San Angel to a new indoor stage inside the pyramid — the same space the Kidcot station previously occupied.
The relocation keeps the group sheltered and gives guests a different kind of setting to enjoy their performances. Mariachi Cobre was founded in 1971 in Tucson, Arizona, and has served as a mariachi ambassador on the world stage ever since their EPCOT debut. Each set runs about 25 minutes, and guests can check the My Disney Experience app for current showtimes.
As for Kidcot, the family-friendly activity station didn't disappear — it just moved. Guests can now find it just inside the pyramid's entrance. Kidcot stations across World Showcase let kids (and curious adults) pick up an international memento while learning about the culture and traditions of each represented country.
The Kidcot station had briefly gone dark last week when it was dismantled during the transition, but it's back up and running at its new address. Both experiences remain fully accessible within the Mexico Pavilion — just in refreshed spots worth noting before your next visit.
