Fans of EPCOT's China Pavilion can once again settle into a full meal at Lotus Blossom Café. The restaurant's second dining room quietly reopened in August 2026, completing a phased refurbishment that tackled each half of the seating area separately — the first side had already returned from a similar project just weeks earlier.
The most noticeable change in the newly reopened space is underfoot: large, bright beige floor tiles have replaced the older, smaller dark brown ones, matching the update made to the restaurant's other dining room. Everything else feels familiar — the bright orange cross-shaped pendant lights, teal ceiling trim, red columns, beige textured walls, reddish mosaic tiles, and calligraphy panels at the rear of the room are all still in place.
Beyond the new flooring, the room appears to have received a general sprucing-up rather than a head-to-toe redesign. The layout stays the same, with rows of rectangular tables, bench seating, and dark speckled tabletops. Privacy hedges that had been blocking both the interior and exterior entrances during construction have been taken down, restoring easy access to the space.
With both rooms back online, Lotus Blossom Café has returned to its full covered seating capacity. A handful of temporary picnic tables that had been placed along the adjacent China Pavilion walkways as overflow seating have also been removed now that there's no longer a need for them.
