Animation Courtyard at Disney's Hollywood Studios has two new residents. Little Brother, the lovable dog from the 1998 film Mulan, and Bruni, the tiny fire spirit salamander from Frozen 2, have both been installed as part of the area's expanding collection of character statues.
Little Brother is posed beside one of the courtyard's brick walls — cream-colored, blue-collared, and looking up with his tongue out and one paw braced against the wall. The figure faithfully captures his floppy brown ears, oversized black nose, and the small tuft of hair familiar to fans of the film. Bruni, by contrast, is a much smaller piece, tucked at the base of a lamppost with his wide eyes gazing upward. His bright blue coloring, pale underside, and stripe of purple scales are all accounted for, making him a rewarding little discovery for guests who take the time to look closely.
The pair joins Oliver and Dodger from Oliver & Company among the Disney animal figures recently added throughout the courtyard. The additions are part of a broader refresh of Animation Courtyard ahead of a significant new attraction.
The Magic of Disney Animation is scheduled to open at the location on September 14, 2026. The new experience will feature an Olaf-hosted Animation Academy along with six character meet-and-greets, giving the refreshed courtyard a lively new centerpiece to complement its growing statue collection.
