Golfers who've been waiting on Disney's Lake Buena Vista Golf Course have a date to circle: the course will reopen on October 23, 2026, following a closure that began in May. Reservations for tee times starting that day are already available.
The refurbishment was far from a simple touch-up. Work included recontouring and re-elevating the greens, playability improvements to the green-side bunker and chipping area, a new bunker drainage system, upgraded irrigation, and enhancements to the teeing grounds throughout the course.
Lake Buena Vista's return comes on the heels of a similarly extensive overhaul at the Magnolia Course, which reopened last year with several holes reimagined into a stretch now called the "Grumpy Gauntlet." Throughout the Lake Buena Vista closure, Magnolia, Palm, and Oak Trail all remained open for play.
The timing is noteworthy for another reason: Walt Disney World Golf was recently named the 2026 NGCOA Resort Course of the Year, a recognition that speaks to the property's standing among resort golf destinations nationwide.
