Disney’s Hollywood Studios is receiving Walt Disney World’s newer trash can design, with plain silver-and-black units now reported in multiple areas of the park.
The updated receptacles use foot pedals and internal compactors, part of a resort-wide replacement effort for older flat-top bins. Outdoor versions also have rounded, solar-panel-topped covers.
At Hollywood Studios, the new unthemed cans have been spotted near Echo Lake, Grand Avenue, Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, the route between Pixar Plaza and Toy Story Land, and Animation Courtyard. The park already has themed versions of the same style near the Chinese Theatre and Magic of Disney Animation.
