After several months of construction, the Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge at Disney's Hollywood Studios has officially reopened on its original outdoor patio. The lounge had closed the patio space back in early July, temporarily relocating guests to a courtyard beside the building while work was underway.
The renovated space brings some meaningful upgrades. Most notably, the old umbrellas that once shaded the patio have been replaced by a permanent awning fitted with hanging lights and ceiling fans — a change that should make lingering over a drink considerably more comfortable on a warm Florida afternoon. The seating also received a refresh, with updated red upholstery on the chairs, and new pavement rounds out the revamped look.
For guests who haven't visited before, the Brown Derby Lounge is one of Hollywood Studios' more relaxed gems — it offers food and drinks inspired by the iconic Hollywood Brown Derby restaurant next door, all without the need for an advance dining reservation. Guests can simply walk up and enjoy the outdoor setting at their own pace.
