A reported burst pipe flooded a corridor and several passenger cabins aboard Royal Caribbean's Harmony of the Seas on Tuesday, Sept. 29, during the ship's five-night cruise from Port Canaveral.
Passenger Kendra, who shared videos of the incident on Facebook, said the leak occurred on Deck 10. Footage showed water pooling outside staterooms 10319 and 10321, two aft-facing balcony cabins overlooking the ship's Boardwalk area. She said the water was warm and created steam while she recorded.
The crew stopped the flooding and began addressing the affected area quickly, according to Kendra. In a follow-up posted less than two hours after the incident, she said carpet had already been removed from an affected room and that crew members were checking on passengers.
It was not clear which cabins beyond those shown in video were affected or what caused the reported pipe failure. The ship was scheduled to call at Cozumel, Mexico, during the sailing, which also includes a stop at Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Harmony of the Seas is expected back at Port Canaveral on Oct. 1, according to CruiseMapper.
