Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Orlando Resort is heading into new gaming territory this fall with a first-ever scare zone built around Fortnite's annual Halloween event, Fortnitemares. The zone, called Freaky Fields, immerses guests in a Halloween-themed living battleground taken over by a mysterious threatening force.
Visitors moving through Freaky Fields can expect to encounter the game's iconic Battle Bus, familiar Fortnitemares characters, and a handful of surprises designed exclusively for the event. The scare zone opens August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort.
This year marks the 35th anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights, which runs August 27 through November 1. The event includes 10 all-new haunted houses, multiple scare zones, street experiences, and live entertainment. Limited-capacity nights are available on Thursday, August 27, and Monday, October 19.
Alongside the announcement, Fortnitemares-inspired merchandise — including a graphic tee, a decal set, and an acrylic collectible — went on sale at both Universal Orlando and Universal Studios Hollywood, as well as online.
Ticket options range from single-night passes to Universal Express Passes, R.I.P. Tours, and several Frequent Fear packages. This story was originally reported by ClickOrlando.
