Universal CityWalk Orlando is adding a new quick-service spot with a celebrity connection this fall. Fat One's Hot Dogs & Italian Ice has set its grand opening for Saturday, September 19, 2026, with doors opening at 10 a.m. The restaurant is co-owned by NSYNC's Joey Fatone and his manager, Joe Mulvihill, and takes over the space previously occupied by Hot Dog Hall of Fame — keeping a hot dog concept in that familiar CityWalk location while giving it a completely fresh identity.

The opening comes with an unusually personal perk for early birds. The first 100 guests to arrive will receive a wristband redeemable for one complimentary hot dog — and Fatone himself will be the one handing them over. Wristbands are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, and given CityWalk's typically heavy foot traffic (it serves as the main entrance corridor between Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure), anyone set on scoring one will want to arrive well before the 10 a.m. start.

Beyond the free food, Fatone will stick around for a limited time to take photos with guests, giving NSYNC fans and curious visitors alike a chance to make the morning a little more memorable. Both opportunities — the wristbands and the photo time — are explicitly limited, so later arrivals shouldn't count on the full grand-opening experience still being available.

As for the restaurant itself, the full name hints at what's on the menu beyond hot dogs: Italian ice rounds out the concept, giving CityWalk guests another option for a cooling treat, especially useful after a long day inside the parks. Fat One's figures to catch plenty of eyes simply by sitting in the heart of Universal Orlando Resort's entertainment district.
