A familiar face — literally — is popping up at Universal CityWalk Orlando. Fat One's Hot Dogs & Italian Ice, the restaurant concept co-owned by NSYNC member Joey Fatone and his manager Joe Mulvihill, appears to be in the final stretch before opening its CityWalk location, though an official debut date has yet to be announced.
Fat One's takes over the spot previously occupied by Hot Dog Hall of Fame, which has been fully cleared out. The exterior has been refreshed with a bold red, black, and white color scheme, and the interior is dressed up with starry banners on ramp posts and a matching design around the ordering counter. Square patio tables are in place outside, and the illuminated menu board is visible above the ordering window, listing dogs, sides, desserts, and drinks. A sign featuring Fatone's face has even been planted in a nearby flowerbed.
The concept was first announced in May and already has roots in the Orlando area through a food truck that operates with neighborhood pick-up options. The CityWalk outpost will be a more permanent home for the brand's classic hot dogs and Italian ices.
