Joey Fatone Opens Fat One's Hot Dogs at Universal CityWalk

Joey Fatone has traded the stage for the grill — at least officially. The *NSYNC member celebrated the grand opening of Fat One's Hot Dogs & Italian Ice at Universal CityWalk in Orlando on September 19, 2026, drawing a sizeable crowd to the venue's plaza for opening-day festivities. Fatone took the stage alongside business partner Joe Mulvihill, who co-founded the concept with him, before a finale of red, black, and white confetti marked the official debut.

The first 100 guests who arrived early enough to snag a wristband — many of whom were already in line by 9 a.m., well ahead of the suggested 10 a.m. arrival — were treated to a complimentary hot dog served personally by Fatone, who wore a branded chef's coat for the occasion. The venue's look leans into a bold red, black, and white color scheme, with stylized hot dog illustrations and images of Fatone woven throughout the branding.

Fat One's isn't a brand-new concept — Fatone and Mulvihill originally launched it at The Florida Mall back in 2016. After that brick-and-mortar location closed, the business carried on through a food-truck operation before landing this permanent spot at CityWalk. The concept draws on Fatone's Brooklyn upbringing, where hot dogs and Italian ice were everyday neighborhood staples. For the CityWalk location, the menu has expanded to include nine signature hot dogs developed in partnership with Universal Orlando's culinary team.

The restaurant occupies the space previously held by Hot Dog Hall of Fame, which opened during CityWalk's 2014 dining district renovation and closed in July 2026. The stadium-inspired layout and some baseball-themed elements of the original space remain, now refreshed with Fat One's distinctive branding. The location sits across from Antojitos Authentic Mexican Food.
