According to the posted notice, the testing window runs from 10 p.m. Tuesday, September 1 through 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 2 — a three-and-a-half-hour span during which guests may hear sporadic fireworks. That's a significant contrast to the park's usual nighttime entertainment; EPCOT's regular show, Luminous The Symphony of Us, typically wraps up around 9 p.m.
Yacht Club sits immediately adjacent to EPCOT's International Gateway, but it's far from the only resort in earshot. Disney's Beach Club Resort shares a campus with Yacht Club, and Disney's BoardWalk Inn sits just across Crescent Lake. The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels are also in the neighborhood. While Disney's notice was specifically posted at Yacht Club, guests at any of these properties could potentially hear activity depending on room location, weather, and the nature of the testing.
Disney describes the expected sounds as "sporadic" rather than continuous, so guests shouldn't anticipate a full fireworks show playing on loop — but even an occasional burst well after midnight can be enough to interrupt sleep.
