Guests staying at Disney's Yacht Club Resort this week have been getting a heads-up about some extra noise in the night sky. A sign posted in the resort's lobby is alerting visitors to a routine fireworks test taking place late Tuesday, September 1 into the early morning hours of Wednesday, September 2.
According to the notice, sporadic fireworks may be audible from 10 p.m. Tuesday through 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. The testing is connected to EPCOT, which sits right next door to the Yacht Club along Crescent Lake.
Under normal circumstances, EPCOT's nighttime entertainment wraps up considerably earlier — the park's nightly fireworks show, Luminous The Symphony of Us, typically begins at 9 p.m. Guests who turn in early or are traveling with young children may want to factor the extended noise window into their plans for Tuesday night.
