Guests visiting EPCOT's Canada Pavilion will notice some new construction walls blocking the shortcut path that runs between Le Cellier Steakhouse and the Canada Far and Wide attraction. The walls went up recently, with one section positioned next to Le Cellier's entrance and another just past the rockwork near the Canada Far and Wide entrance.
Disney has not announced what the work involves, but the location points toward either a refurbishment of the walkway surface itself or the pavilion's signature rockwork — a towering, rugged-looking feature that frames the path and ties into the Hotel du Canada facade, gardens, and pond area nearby.
The good news for diners and guests: both Le Cellier and Canada Far and Wide remain fully open and accessible. Only the direct connecting walkway between them is off-limits for the time being.
The Canada Pavilion's rockwork has long been one of EPCOT's more distinctive landscape details, and the area also featured a waterfall that has reportedly been out of service. How long the construction phase will last has not been announced.
