If you have a stay booked at Disney's Yacht Club Resort, take note before you arrive: the main lobby entrance is currently sealed off behind scaffolding and plywood as part of the resort's ongoing exterior refurbishment. A sandwich board with Disney's familiar "Pardon Our Pixie Dust" message and a directional arrow now greets arriving guests, steering them toward a walkway on the right side of the building.
That alternate path runs alongside Ale & Compass Restaurant and brings guests into the lobby through a side entrance. Disney has the route clearly marked from start to finish, so the detour is easy to follow even on a first visit — though it does add a few extra steps to your arrival and departure routine. Guests with mobility needs should also be aware that the accessible ramp is located at this same side entrance, not at the original main doors.
The Yacht Club is part of a larger, multi-phase refurbishment effort covering both Disney's Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts in the EPCOT area. According to Disney's official construction bulletin, exterior work at the Yacht Club is expected to wrap by late 2026, while the adjacent Beach Club will remain under construction through late 2027. Guests are warned they may see scaffolding, equipment, and tarps — and hear daytime construction noise — throughout the duration of the project.
There's one more disruption on the horizon for Yacht Club guests: the Disney Skyliner is scheduled to go offline for its annual maintenance period in January 2027, just after the Yacht Club portion of the refurbishment concludes. Anyone planning a trip around that window should factor in the temporary loss of that transportation option when deciding how to get around Walt Disney World.
