Guests staying near Disney's Epcot Resort Area can once again hop aboard the FriendShip boats at Disney's Yacht Club Resort. The dock quietly reopened on Monday, August 31, following a maintenance closure that ran past its originally scheduled August 21 return date.

The work appears to have been worth the wait. Visitors who stopped by on August 28 found the dock still fenced off, but they spotted fresh light brown wooden boards already in place — a noticeable contrast to the more faded planks surrounding them. By the 31st, the green construction fencing and temporary closure signs had been removed entirely.

With the dock back in service, guests can take the boats to EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Disney's BoardWalk Inn — a convenient, scenic alternative to the bus or walking path for resort-area visitors.
