Rain chances are expected to build from Wednesday, September 30, through Friday, October 2. Wednesday's chance of rain is forecast at 20% to 50%, rising to 40% to 60% Thursday and 50% to 70% Friday. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are the primary concern.
Thursday and Friday highs are expected to reach the upper 80s to low 90s, with humidity pushing peak heat index values to roughly 98 to 103 degrees. Overnight lows are forecast in the low to mid-70s.
Thunderstorms may bring lightning, gusty winds and locally heavy rain. Those conditions can temporarily interrupt outdoor attractions and entertainment at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom, particularly during the afternoon.
