Recent Walt Disney World construction permits point to planned work at Magic Kingdom and Disney Springs, though Disney has not announced any related closures or project timelines.
Three permits involve Magic Kingdom. Two list work at Pirates of the Caribbean: one for the attraction’s facade and queue area, and another for its show building. Buena Vista Construction Company is listed as the contractor for both permits, which describe labor, materials and/or electrical work. The filings do not say whether the attraction will close or whether work could be completed outside park hours.
A third Magic Kingdom permit, filed by Walt Disney Imagineering and listing PCL Construction as contractor, identifies an address near the Haunted Mansion area. The address does not yet appear in the system, according to Inside the Magic. Disney has not announced what is planned there.
Seven additional general-construction permits cover locations at Disney Springs. They include the pedestrian bridge over the lagoon between Marketplace and Town Center near the LEGO Store and Rainforest Cafe, along with Raglan Road Irish Pub and Restaurant, Paddlefish, the LEGO Store, The BOATHOUSE, UNIQLO and Happy Hound Kiosk.
