Walt Disney World is preparing to beta test a suite of artificial intelligence features on its official website, developed in partnership with Google Cloud. The new tools are designed to make vacation planning more straightforward — helping guests find the lowest available room rates, compare resort options side by side, and get quick answers without wading through pages of FAQs.

The update introduces a "Guided Search – BETA" tab that will initially appear for a randomly selected group of guests in the United States and Canada. Disney says the rollout will expand in phases based on feedback. The experience draws clear inspiration from Google Travel, offering a flexible date and pricing calendar, resort comparison features, and an AI assistant that responds to natural-language questions — for example, helping a family find a resort with Lion King theming, or explaining which hotels are within walking distance of EPCOT.

One notable design choice: the AI pulls answers exclusively from official Walt Disney World resources rather than the open web, which Disney says is meant to keep results accurate and relevant. The system can also handle off-topic questions — if someone asks where to find Harry Potter at Walt Disney World, it will gently clarify that the Wizarding World isn't part of the resort. Disney emphasized throughout its demonstration that using the AI tools is entirely optional; existing search and booking flows, travel agents, and the WDW phone reservation line all remain available.

The new features build on a freshened DisneyWorld.com design that launched last month. Nothing about the Lightning Lane or Advance Dining Reservation systems is changing as part of this beta. Walt Disney World says the goal is simply to help guests plan and book Disney World vacations with greater confidence from the very first click.
