Several Disney World resort hotels are entering refurbishment season, and if you have a stay booked between now and late 2027, it's worth knowing what you might encounter. Disney has quietly updated its website with a handful of new project notices that cover everything from lobby closures to restaurant shuffles.
At Saratoga Springs Resort, the Treehouse Villas are getting a nature-inspired makeover with new hardwood floors, granite countertops, and updated appliances. Diners should note some musical-chairs scheduling at the resort's restaurants: the Turf Club Bar & Grill will close from August through September, while the Turf Club Lounge — closed since spring — will reopen to fill the gap. Separately, areas of the hotel's Port Cochere are under refurbishment through fall 2026.
Animal Kingdom Lodge's Kidani Village faces the most layered timeline. Starting August 17th, its main lobby and primary entrance close through October 9th, with check-in relocating to the Palace Library. The shop Johari Treasures closes August 17th–28th, and lobby corridors on both the north and south sides will take turns being unavailable through early November, temporarily pulling access to Community Hall, the arcade, laundry facilities, and the outdoor terrace observation deck. Over at the Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts, the FriendShip Boat dock serving those properties will be offline August 17th–21st for maintenance — during that window, direct buses run to Hollywood Studios and the EPCOT walkway remains an option.
Coronado Springs Resort has begun a convention center refurbishment projected to run through September 2027, with overnight construction to limit daytime disruption, though Disney notes guests may still see or hear work in progress. Fort Wilderness guests should expect occasional path detours along Big Pine Trail through mid-October due to soil erosion prevention work. Longer-horizon projects include exterior refurbishments at Boardwalk, Wilderness Lodge, and Yacht Club through late 2026, plus room renovations at Port Orleans, Art of Animation, and Beach Club running into 2027 — and a resort-wide Contemporary refresh also expected through late 2027.
