Spooky season has arrived early at Walt Disney World — at least on the menu boards. Several Halloween-themed treats surfaced across the parks and resorts this week, with the Spiced Pumpkin Cupcake leading the charge. The ghost-topped confection — a spiced pumpkin cake with cream cheese filling, spiced buttercream, and a ghost profiterole — is now available for $6.79 at three resort quick-service spots: Contempo Cafe at Disney's Contemporary Resort, BoardWalk Deli at Disney's BoardWalk Inn, and The Mara at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge.
Over at Disney's Hollywood Studios, Woody's Lunch Box swapped its Lilypad Lunch Box Tart for a seasonal Pumpkin Lunch Box Tart ($5.29), filled with pumpkin pie and decorated with marshmallow fondant, Halloween sprinkles, marshmallows, and chocolate jack-o'-lanterns. It's a small but unmistakable signal that Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party season is in full swing.
Beyond the Halloween additions, a handful of notable new items also made their debut. The Lunching Pad in Magic Kingdom added a Queso Fundido Hot Dog ($13.49) topped with street corn relish and spiced tortilla strips. Pinocchio Village Haus refreshed its flatbread lineup with a Buffalo Chicken Flatbread ($13.29) and brought back an All-Meat Flatbread ($13.79) as a regular menu item. Over at Disney Springs, Morimoto Asia Street Food added several new bites including Dandan Nachos ($15) and a Japanese Curry Naan Panini ($8), while T-Rex Restaurant overhauled much of its appetizer and salad menu.
On the resort side, Disney's Port Orleans — both French Quarter and Riverside — added Tiana's Caramel Éclair ($7.49), a honey cremeux pastry with caramel and spiced pecans, which fits right in with the Princess and the Frog theming of those properties. Prices also ticked up in a few spots: the Maple-Vanilla Espresso Martini at Grand Floridian Cafe jumped from $16.50 to $20.50, and the Mickey Cinnamon Roll at Trail's End Restaurant now runs $7.99 instead of $7.49.
