Walt Disney World has begun testing an AI-powered vacation-planning feature on DisneyWorld.com, giving a randomly selected group of guests in the United States and Canada a new “Guided Search, BETA” tab on the homepage.
Guests must sign in to a My Disney Experience account to use the test. The tool begins with travel timing and party size, allowing users to search specific dates, a month or an entire season before describing their trip in a free-text prompt. Disney has said it is seeking feedback before any broader rollout.
The beta is focused on resorts, tickets and vacation packages. It can show resort options on an interactive map with nightly-rate bubbles, offer a day-by-day pricing calendar for particular room types and compare properties side by side. Disney says the system applies the qualifying offer that produces the lowest rate, including cases where different room categories qualify for different discounts.
In Disney’s preview, the tool suggested Disney’s Art of Animation Resort for a family planning a first visit with a child interested in The Lion King, citing Lion King Family Suites, Skyliner access to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and the resort’s pool. The site’s regular search, contact center and travel agents remain available for guests who prefer other ways to plan.
A chat field labeled “Ask or Refine Results, BETA” allows follow-up questions about topics such as walking distances, dining and pools. Disney says responses are drawn from its own website content and internal source material, rather than information about other companies’ parks. The beta also carries a disclaimer that it is AI-powered and may make mistakes.
