Walt Disney World has confirmed that one of its most popular hotel perks — complimentary water park admission on arrival day — will wrap up after September 8, 2026. Guests checking into any Disney Resort hotel on or before that date are still eligible, but anyone arriving September 9 or later should not expect the benefit to be included with their stay.
The perk, which Disney introduced in 2025 and brought back for 2026, covers admission to whichever water park is operating on a guest's check-in day. When both Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon are running, guests can choose either one. If only one is open, that location becomes the default option. Notably, the benefit applies equally across Value, Moderate, and Deluxe Resort properties — no tier gets preferential treatment.
There is one firm rule worth planning around: the complimentary admission is valid only on check-in day and cannot be shifted to another day during the stay. Guests who arrive late in the evening, encounter flight delays, or simply skip the water park that day will lose the benefit — Disney doesn't allow rollovers. Many families maximize the perk by booking early morning flights, dropping luggage with Bell Services before their room is ready, and heading straight to the water park for the afternoon.
The practical savings can be meaningful. Water park tickets represent a real additional expense for larger travel parties, so folding that cost into a hotel stay turns what might feel like a travel day into a full vacation day. It also gives families — especially those with younger kids — a lower-key way to ease into the trip before diving into the four main theme parks.
