Disney World’s Atlantic Dance Hall is scheduled to close Oct. 1, the same day Hurly-Burly is expected to open, according to Disney Food Blog’s roundup of park and resort updates. The report did not state how long the Atlantic Dance Hall closure will last.
Elsewhere at Magic Kingdom, Carousel of Progress has been closed since July 6 for a major refurbishment that will update its scenes and add a Walt Disney animatronic to the opening. Disney has listed the attraction for a 2027 return, without announcing a reopening date.
The Rivers of America, Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island closed permanently July 7, 2025, to make room for Piston Peak National Park, a new Cars-themed area planned with two attractions. Disney has not announced an opening date for the project.
At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Vacation Fun is expected to resume operating Sept. 27 after an Aug. 9 closure. Meanwhile, Muppet*Vision 3D, PizzeRizzo and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano remain closed as construction continues on the future Monsters, Inc.-themed Monstropolis area.

At EPCOT, Coral Reef Restaurant has been closed for refurbishment since Sept. 8. The Disney World website is accepting reservations beginning Nov. 4, which Disney Food Blog reported could indicate a reopening then, though Disney had not confirmed that date. La Signature in the France Pavilion and portions of the Germany Pavilion also remain under refurbishment, with no reopening dates announced.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge also has several scheduled closures. Its main lobby and primary entrance are to close Aug. 17 through Oct. 9, with check-in moving to the Palace Library. The north-side lobby corridor, certain elevators and the outdoor terrace observation deck are scheduled to be unavailable Sept. 28 through Oct. 9.
