Travelers planning a 2027 Walt Disney World vacation may want to build in time for transportation checks and earlier booking deadlines, particularly if they are staying at a Disney Resort hotel.
Disney Springs transportation to Disney Resort hotels is limited to eligible visitors, according to Inside the Magic. Guests may be asked to show a Disney Resort hotel room key, a dining reservation or an experience reservation before boarding a resort-bound bus or the Sassagoula River Cruise. Dining guests may use that transportation beginning up to two hours before their reservation.
The policy affects visitors who park at Disney Springs and hope to use its transportation as a way to visit resorts such as Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa or Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Resort hotel guests remain eligible to use the service.
Disney Springs also has procedures for high-demand merchandise-release days. The Lime, Orange and Grapefruit garages, along with designated rideshare loops, remain closed until 7 a.m. on those dates, and overnight waiting or early vehicle queues are not permitted.
For eligible Disney Resorts Collection guests, complimentary admission to a Disney water park on check-in day is scheduled to continue through summer 2027. The benefit applies to guests in the DVC Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, but not to guests booked at Fort Wilderness tent or RV campsites. Visitors should check My Disney Experience for which water park is operating on their arrival day, since schedules can change for seasonal operations, rehabilitation, capacity or weather.

Booking advantages also differ by lodging. Guests at Disney Resort hotels, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, Swan Reserve and Shades of Green can purchase and select Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Single Pass and Premier Pass beginning seven days before check-in for their stay, up to 14 days. Other guests can make Lightning Lane purchases up to three days before their park day.
Dining reservations open 60 days ahead. Disney Resort hotel guests can reserve dining for their full stay, up to 10 nights, when their window opens; off-site visitors book one day at a time 60 days before each visit. Travelers preparing to buy Disney World tickets or arrange a 2027 stay can use those timelines to plan their reservation dates.
