Walt Disney World guests planning 2027 visits may find a changing lineup across the resort, with major park additions, an updated classic attraction and a new hotel expected to arrive on different schedules.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the forthcoming Tropical Americas area is set to include Pueblo Esperanza, featuring Antonio’s Fiesta de Encanto, an Encanto-inspired attraction; Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent; and a new carousel. The source did not provide an exact opening date for the land.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios is also preparing for Monstropolis, based on Monsters, Inc.. The land is expected to open in phases, according to Disney Fanatic. Its planned suspended door-vault coaster is not expected to be ready when the land initially opens.
Elsewhere, Magic Kingdom’s Carousel of Progress is scheduled to reopen in late spring 2027 following a major overhaul. Disney Lakeshore Lodge, a 967-room resort near Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, is scheduled to open July 1, 2027.

Early-year visitors will still have seasonal offerings including the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts and EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. Disney has also announced resort discounts of up to 25% on select stays through April 29, with additional savings available on certain qualifying vacation packages.
Because exact dates remain unannounced for some of the largest projects, guests hoping to plan Walt Disney World tickets and visits around a particular debut may not know whether an attraction will be open until Disney releases more details.
