Disney Cruise Line has returned the Disney Wonder to service following a 14-day dry dock at Seaspan Victoria Shipyards in Victoria, British Columbia.

More than 100 projects were completed during the work period, which combined routine inspections and maintenance with refreshed onboard spaces and guest-experience updates. Disney said nearly 1,000 crew members and cast members contributed to the project.

Among the work completed, crews installed more than 12 miles of new carpet and applied a sustainable hull coating. The cruise line said the coating covers an area equivalent to 10 football fields.

Disney ships generally enter dry dock every five years, giving teams time to complete work that cannot be done during regular sailings. The Wonder is the second-oldest vessel in Disney Cruise Line's fleet.

The ship also received updates to Edge, Disney Cruise Line's space for tweens. Disney said the refreshed club now has a new color scheme and modular elements intended for different activities; similar Edge updates were made aboard the Disney Fantasy and Disney Magic.

Some projects took place below the waterline. Disney Cruise Line said the Wonder received an advanced hull coating designed to support more efficient operation and help minimize environmental impacts. The work also included improvements to crew areas, including a reimagined crew dining location.
