Disney Cruise Line has shared a behind-the-scenes look at a recent dry dock for the Disney Wonder, showing the maintenance and refresh work completed while the ship was out of service.
According to Disney Cruise Line, more than 100 projects were finished over 14 days, with nearly 1,000 crew and cast members contributing to the work.
The projects included hull work beneath the ship, where crews worked around the Disney Wonder’s propeller and exterior. Disney said the coating applied to the hull covered an area equal to about 10 football fields.
Inside, crews replaced more than 12 miles of carpet and refreshed guest-facing details, including character artwork on the ship’s stern. Disney’s images showed work being done on the Donald Duck artwork and paintbrush there.
