Concierge staterooms on the Disney Wish's 12-night Westbound Transatlantic sailing — departing Southampton on September 17, 2027 — were essentially gone within the first few minutes of Pearl Castaway Club Members' booking window, the earliest tier in Disney Cruise Line's staggered access schedule.
The sailing repositions the Disney Wish after its first European season, crossing the Atlantic with port stops in Greenock, Scotland; Reykjavik, Iceland; and St. John's, Newfoundland before arriving in New York on September 29. It's a rare itinerary for the line, and that novelty clearly translated into fierce competition for the best cabins.
Cruisers comparing notes on the DISboards forum Monday morning painted a vivid picture of how quickly inventory moved. One member reported Concierge rooms were gone in ten minutes or less. Another noted that only five Concierge cabins appeared available at the outset, and even a travel agent initially couldn't land one for their Pearl-level clients. Beyond Concierge, popular veranda categories also disappeared fast, with prices on remaining options rising noticeably within hours — and at least one member noted the system allowed booking before the official 8 a.m. ET opening time.
There is a silver lining for those who struck out. One DISboards member eventually secured a Concierge cabin after their travel agent kept checking back, and offered some hard-won advice: the days just before a sailing's pay-in-full deadline tend to see cancellations that free up otherwise sold-out categories. It's a strategy worth bookmarking. Meanwhile, the staggered booking calendar continues — Platinum Castaway Club Members follow on September 1, Gold on September 2, Silver on September 3, Disney Vacation Club Members and Adventures by Disney Adventure Insiders on September 4, and the general public on September 8.
