Disney Vacation Club members have a reason to head to Disney World's BoardWalk this summer: a special character meet-and-greet experience has returned at Atlantic Dance Hall as part of DVC Welcome Home Weeks, running July 22nd through August 26th, 2026. The events are scheduled from 11 AM to 1 PM on select dates including July 27–28, August 4–5, August 12–13, August 17–18, and August 26th.
To attend, members must be eligible for Membership Extras and hold a valid Disney World resort reservation. They may bring up to four guests, but the member listed on the Digital Membership Card must be present with a photo ID. Disney notes there is no on-site parking for the event and strongly encourages guests to use Walt Disney World Resort transportation.
The character experience is just one piece of a broader slate of Welcome Home Weeks benefits. Members can also attend Welcome Home Wakeup morning gatherings — coffee and a treat included — at Bay Lake Tower's Top of the World Lounge on Fridays and Saturdays starting July 24th (9–11 AM), and at Disney's Wilderness Lodge's Reunion Station on Saturdays and Sundays starting July 25th (9–11 AM).
Dining discounts are among the most substantial perks. On Mondays through Thursdays through August 26th, members can save 40% at spots like Hollywood & Vine, Tusker House, Biergarten, Tiffins, Coral Reef, Garden Grill, Whispering Canyon Cafe, and Trattoria al Forno. The Crystal Palace and Be Our Guest Restaurant offer a 20% discount on select meals. Additional perks include exclusive Disney Springs offers, Welcome Home Week buttons, and complimentary movie snacks at select resort screenings.
