The park's final days come with a packed schedule. Regular hours run 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday, September 4 and Labor Day Monday, September 7, with extended hours on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday, September 5 also marks the last night of Disney H2O Glow After Hours — the ticketed evening event featuring nighttime lighting, character appearances, and shorter wait times — running 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. after the park's standard close.
Resort guests have an extra reason to pay attention to that September 8 cutoff. A summer 2026 perk offered complimentary water park access on check-in day for guests staying at eligible Disney Resorts Collection hotels. That benefit expires on September 8 as well — meaning anyone checking in on September 9 or later will need to purchase standard water park admission to visit Blizzard Beach, even though it stays open.
Disney has framed the shutdown as a seasonal maintenance period, but the lack of any announced reopening date is what's drawing attention. The closure will give crews time to service aging infrastructure, filtration systems, and signature attractions including Crush 'n' Gusher and the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool — North America's largest wave pool, which generates six-foot swells.
