Guests with upcoming stays at Disney's BoardWalk Inn or Disney's BoardWalk Villas should be aware of some temporary changes coming to the resort this month. The Village Green courtyard — a central gathering spot at the property — will be closed from August 10 through September 4, 2026, as part of ongoing refurbishment work affecting select areas of the resort through late 2026.
The closure does mean a pause on popular recreation programming that normally takes place on the Village Green. Movie Under the Stars screenings, yoga sessions, crafts, and other activities will continue during this period, just moved to alternate locations around the resort.
Looking further ahead, guests planning visits in early 2027 will want to note a separate, previously announced closure: the Luna Park Pool, the Luna Park Crazy Play Area, and Leaping Horse Libations are all slated to close from January 11, 2027, through April 2027 for routine maintenance. The good news is that the pools at both the Inn and the Villas are expected to remain open during that stretch.
