Walt Disney World has not announced plans to restore Disney’s Magical Express, the free airport bus and luggage-delivery service that ended in January 2022.
The former benefit carried guests between Orlando International Airport and Disney-operated hotels, while checked bags could be delivered directly to resort rooms. Guests now collect their own checked luggage at the airport and arrange transportation separately.
A paid replacement, Mears Connect Driven by Sunshine, currently offers charter-bus transportation between Orlando International Airport and Disney hotels for $16 each way, according to Mickey Visit. Ride-share services are another option for travelers.
Disney has brought back a limited piece of the former experience through Airport Luggage Transfer. The service began testing in 2025 and handles checked bags for eligible guests arriving at select resorts on Southwest, American and United. Mickey Visit reports that participating resorts include Disney’s value-tier hotels and Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.

Disney also offered complimentary Minnie Van airport transportation to the first 2,500 residents of the United Kingdom or Ireland who booked a specified 2027 vacation package earlier this year. That was a limited package offer, not a broader return of free airport transfers.
For now, the luggage program’s expansion is the clearest sign that Disney is again offering some airport-arrival assistance. But visitors should not plan on free airport bus service unless Disney makes a separate announcement.
