Disney Cruise Line has begun using reusable plastic cups at self-serve poolside drink stations on the Disney Fantasy, replacing the paper cups previously offered there, according to WDW News Today.
The new plain white, double-walled cups are intended for hot or cold beverages, with lids available for hot drinks. They are set out on trays and carts near the soda fountains, and guests are asked to return them to designated collection bins rather than dispose of them.
The poolside paper cups had carried colorful classic-attraction icons along with Coca-Cola and Disney Parks logos. WDW News Today reported that the reusable cups are currently known to be available on the Disney Fantasy, with a broader rollout across the fleet possible but not confirmed by Disney Cruise Line.
Changes have also reached Cabanas, the Disney Fantasy buffet. Its former large clear reusable cups with hidden Mickeys have been replaced by a different, stackable white reusable cup. Smaller hidden Mickey cups remain at juice stations, and ceramic mugs are still available for coffee.
